Weekend Medical Receptionist

Hours: 0800 to 1800 Saturday and Sunday only

About the Role:

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our client in Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring clinically excellent services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and register patients; act as first point of contact
• Book appointments and update patient records
• Answer calls, handle queries, and pass messages to clinical staff
• Direct patients to appropriate departments/services
• Complete admin tasks (Accurately input data onto electronic record systems in line with trust guidelines.)
• Support clinicians by communicating patient arrivals or concerns
• Manage reception area, including opening/closing duties
• Handle busy queues, prioritising urgent cases (weekend pressure)
• Provide calm, professional support to patients and relatives
• Provide administrative support to clinical and operational management teams.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a similar role within the NHS or a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Letter typing skills (desirable but not essential).
