The focus of this
Cover Supervisor role is delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining positive behaviour and ensuring pupils continue to make progress while their usual teacher is absent. With planning and marking already completed, you can concentrate on high-quality classroom delivery and building positive relationships with learners.
Responsibilities- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects.
- Promote a positive learning environment and strong classroom expectations.
- Adapt confidently to different year groups and educational settings.
- Encourage pupil participation, engagement and continued progress.
- Follow school policies for behaviour, safeguarding and attendance.
Requirements Experience working with children or young people is essential. Subject specialist opportunities are also available for candidates with particular curriculum strengths. Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent classroom management, adaptability, confidence leading groups and a genuine commitment to supporting learning.
