About the Role

Exclusive Education is currently recruiting a Secondary Teaching Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Tameside. This long-term opportunity is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate or an aspiring teacher.

Working across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will support students in lessons, deliver small group interventions, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students within the classroom across a range of subjects
• Deliver one-to-one and small group support where required
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Promote positive behaviour and student engagement
• Support students with varying learning abilities and needs
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

You will need

• 2 references which comment on you working with young people or in a care setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, enthusiastic, and flexible approach
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
