Multi-Trader Social Housing

Location: North London
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Salary: £27.12/hr (Temp)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Trader to join our growing team, delivering responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties.

This is a customer-facing role where you'll be expected to complete a variety of repairs to a high standard while providing excellent service to tenants. The ideal candidate will be skilled across multiple trades and capable of working independently to meet daily appointments and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties.
• Complete a wide range of tasks including:
  • Carpentry (doors, locks, skirting, kitchens)
  • Plumbing (taps, toilets, pipework, basic repairs)
  • Patch plastering and making good
  • Tiling repairs
  • Painting and decorating
  • Basic flooring repairs
• Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate job records using handheld devices.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with tenants.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Manage materials and keep the company vehicle clean and organised.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi-Trader within social housing, responsive repairs, or property maintenance.
• Strong carpentry/plumbing skills with competency in additional trades.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• DBS check may be required.
