Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £100 - £120+ per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming secondary school in Berwick-upon-Tweed that is looking to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor. The school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential, supported by a collaborative leadership team and a strong focus on high-quality teaching and learning.

The school is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a long-term basis from September. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to students in Key Stages 3 to 5, maintaining excellent classroom behaviour, supporting pupils with additional needs where required, and ensuring learning continues in the absence of the class teacher.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/Level 2 equivalent) or above
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with an ICT qualification desirable
• Experience working with students across Key Stages 3 to 5
• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
• Experience using ICT to support learning, including SIMS and classroom technology such as interactive whiteboards
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
