About the Role:

• This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in your local community.
• You will be working with a diverse group of young people, supporting them in their football development and helping them to feel welcome and included.

Requirements:

• To be 18 years or older and non-judgmental, able to engage with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Reliable and punctual, with excellent communication skills, especially when working with people with varying levels of English.
• Able to volunteer on Monday evenings for a minimum of four months and currently reside in the UK.
• A love of football and a willingness to encourage others to play.
• Able to provide five years' worth of addresses and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• Able to attend compulsory volunteer induction training (online), general, and safeguarding before the start of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming young people to the session and ensuring they are registered correctly.
• Being a role model for the young refugees and asylum seekers, joining in and engaging with them during sessions.
• Supporting participants to recognize and celebrate their achievements, both on and off the pitch.
