Year 2 Class Teacher

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term/Contract

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rainham, Kent is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join the team from January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach a key year group where you will play an important role in supporting pupils as they build confidence, independence, and strong foundations for future learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive.

Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop creative and inspiring learning experiences.

Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).

Have experience or a good understanding of teaching within Key Stage 1.

Be passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.

Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
