CNC Machinist - Various Shifts Available

Wickford, Essex

Pay Rate: £15.00 - £20.00 per hour (PAYE)

We are currently recruiting experienced CNC Machinists for a leading precision engineering company based in Wickford, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer producing high-quality precision components across a range of industries.

We are looking for skilled machinists with experience operating Siemens-controlled CNC milling machines who can confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacture components to exact specifications.

The Role

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating 3-axis Siemens CNC milling machines, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate 3-axis Siemens CNC milling machines

Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances

Read and interpret engineering drawings

Select the correct tooling and machining methods

Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment

Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain quality

Ensure all work meets customer specifications

Work to production schedules and quality standards

Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Machinist

Experience with Siemens CNC controls

Strong background operating 3-axis CNC milling machines

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience machining to tight tolerances

Competent using measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier callipers, and gauges

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
