1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire

Pay Rate: 95 - 105 per day

Key Responsibilities

As a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with your assigned pupil to help them access the curriculum and thrive:

• Tailored Support: Deliver targeted 1:1 interventions and adapt learning tasks to match the pupil's specific learning pace.
• Behaviour & Engagement: Implement positive behaviour strategies and nurture the child's emotional well-being.
• Classroom Integration: Help the pupil build social connections and feel fully included in everyday activities.
• Progress Monitoring: Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to record achievements and update learning goals.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant or supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, and a creative approach to child-centred learning.
• A proactive mindset toward continuous learning and professional education and training.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Academics).
