Purchase Ledger Clerk

• Location: Outskirts of Carnforth
• Job Type: Part-Time, Ongoing Temporary Assignment (Potential Temp-to-Perm)
• PAYE - £14 - £15 per hour

Reed is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy and friendly finance team based on the outskirts of Carnforth. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. This role is ideal for an experienced purchase ledger professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and seeks a flexible part-time position.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match, batch, and code invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage supplier queries and maintain positive relationships.
• Prepare payment runs.
• Assist with month-end duties as required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support the wider finance team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Available to start at short notice.
