Job Title: Freelance Externals Manager

Location: London
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (DOE)
Contract: Freelance Immediate Start

We are working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Externals Manager to oversee the delivery of the external works package on a high-quality new build project in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in managing external works from groundworks through to final completion.

• Manage all external works packages from start to finish.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
• Oversee:
  • Kerbing
  • Paving
  • Hard landscaping
  • Soft landscaping
  • External finishes
  • Roads and footpaths
  • Drainage interfaces
• Ensure quality inspections and snagging are completed in line with programme.
• Monitor site health & safety and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Team and subcontractors to maintain programme milestones.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Resolve technical and site coordination issues efficiently.

• Proven experience as an Externals Manager or Senior Site Manager delivering external works packages on new build projects.
• Strong understanding of kerbs, paving, hard landscaping and soft landscaping.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating external works.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Able to drive programme while maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are essential.
