SEND Teaching Assistants needed in Doncaster
Salary: £89 £100 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start date: ASAP

TeacherActive is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist day school in DN6. The school provides education for pupils aged 3 19 with severe learning difficulties, including a small group of Post-16 learners based at an off-site provision. Their ethos is rooted in creating personalised learning journeys that inspire, empower, and prepare students for life beyond the classroom.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils with a diverse range of needs. Working alongside experienced teaching staff, you ll help create a safe, purposeful, and stimulating environment where every learner feels valued and supported. From building positive relationships to assisting with behaviour strategies, you ll be an integral part of ensuring students thrive both academically and personally.

What You ll Be Doing -

• Supporting teachers in delivering tailored learning experiences that meet individual needs.
• Helping to create a respectful, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assisting in implementing consistent behaviour management strategies.
• Working collaboratively with staff to share best practices and champion student progress.
• Demonstrating high standards of professionalism and care at all times.

What We re Looking For -

• Experience working with children, young people or adults with SEND (
• Experience supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 basis (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them to achieve their potential.
