Job Description

RMS are working with a well-established metal fabrication company looking for a reliable and hardworking General Operator to join their manufacturing team. This role would suit someone with previous experience in assembly work, factory production, or a general manufacturing environment.

Location: Peterlee
Hours of Work: Monday Thursday 7:45AM until 4:45PM
Friday 7:45AM until 1:45PM
Contract: Temp to Perm (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £14.58 per hour
Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours worked.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the assembly of products and components.
• Supporting production and manufacturing operations.
• Handling materials and preparing components for processing.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Working as part of a team to meet production targets.

Requirements

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or general factory work.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
