ASD Teacher - East London - Tower Hamlets and Newham

180 - 250 per day

Remedy Education are looking for experienced ASD Teachers for three specialist SEN schools across East London.

The roles are based in Tower Hamlets and Newham, within well established specialist provisions supporting pupils with autism and additional complex needs. There are opportunities across both primary and secondary age groups, with classes still being finalised for September.

This would suit a teacher who understands autism, can create structure quickly and knows how to make learning accessible for pupils who may need a more personalised approach.

You will be teaching small classes with strong support from experienced teaching assistants. Pupils may have communication needs, sensory needs, learning difficulties and behaviours linked to their diagnosis, so the schools are looking for teachers who are calm, consistent and confident.

What you will be doing:

Teaching pupils with autism and complex needs
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
Creating clear routines and structure within the classroom
Working closely with TAs and therapy teams
Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and learning
Adapting lessons to meet different abilities and learning styles
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

What we are looking for:

Experience teaching pupils with ASD or complex needs
QTS preferred, but strong SEN teaching experience will be considered
Primary or secondary SEN experience
Strong behaviour management
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Good understanding of visual supports, routines and differentiated learning
Someone reliable, flexible and committed to long term SEN work
