Yard Operative - Stockport, Greater Manchester

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our well-established client based in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

This role would suit applicants who have worked in a similar role such as a Labourer, Yard Operative, or Warehouse Operative.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday • 08:00 - 17:00 • Every second Saturday required

Rates of Pay:

• £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Yard Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Heavy lifting duties • Loading and unloading building materials • Moving heavy materials across the yard • Producing a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of products at all times • Using hand tools such as shovels • Following all health and safety guidelines • Ensuring all products meet required specifications

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Yard Operative, you will need:

• Ability to work well as part of a team • Strong attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure and accept feedback • Flexible and adaptable approach to work • Good organisation and time management skills • Good verbal communication skills • Previous experience within a similar role

Desirable Experience:

• Previous yard experience would be beneficial

Training:

• Full training provided
