£14.00 - £16.00 per hour plus holiday

We're looking for a capable and organised Temporary Accounts Assistant to join a fast-moving SME finance team. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone with solid finance experience who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact. Cover whilst a permanent recruitment drive continues

You'll support the finance function across all areas, including:

• Processing and managing supplier invoices and payment runs
• Raising sales invoices, allocating receipts, and supporting credit control
• Completing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash activity
• Supporting month-end processes, reporting, and management accounts
• Handling expenses, card transactions, VAT support, and general finance admin
• Responding to day-to-day finance queries and assisting with audits and projects

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (e.g. Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper)
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
• Confident user of finance systems (e.g. ERP/accounting software)
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines

• AAT studier or qualified
• SME background
• Exposure to VAT or management accounts

You're reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership. You work well under pressure, communicate clearly, and take pride in accurate work.
