Assistant Management Accountant Temp 3-months + London £22 per hour Part-Time

For a well-established University in central London, we're recruiting a temporary Assistant Management Accountant to support the Finance team with the preparation of monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments, journals and reconciliations. This role will suit someone at AAT or part-qualified level who is immediately available and able to roll up the sleeves and support with a number of different tasks.

This role is available on a part-time basis.

Main Duties:

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting and reviewing journals - accruals, prepayments and adjustments
• Supporting the Head of Finance with the month-end processes
• Review ledger entries, ensuring accuracy of financial data across several systems
• Monitor expenses and cost allocations across Faculties
• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles

Person Specification:

• Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA - or similar by experience) or AAT qualified
• Ideally a Higher Education (HE) or non-profit background
• Strong experience in management accounts preparation
• Strong experience of month-end processes and reconciliation
• Proactive, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
