Job Specification - Warehouse Scanning Operative (Part-Time)

Hours

• Tuesday to Friday
• Bicester, Oxfordshire-OX26
• 15.01 an hour and weekly pay
• 4:00 am-8:00 am or 5:00 am-9:00 am (16 hours per week)
• Optional 5-hour shifts available (20 hours per week)

Job Purpose

To accurately receive, scan, sort, and prepare stock while ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently, safely, and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Scan products using handheld barcode scanners.
• Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Sort and organise stock into designated storage locations.
• Label and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Carry out stock counts and inventory checks.
• Report damaged or missing items.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
• Follow company procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity targets.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Good attention to detail.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using handheld scanning devices or willing to learn.

Desirable

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
• Experience with barcode scanners or warehouse management systems.
• Manual handling experience.
