We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Business Studies to join a thriving and well-established academy in Doncaster from September 2026 on a long-term, full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher to become part of a supportive and ambitious school community, delivering engaging Business Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing students' knowledge of the business world while fostering confidence, ambition, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4, with the ability to teach Key Stage 5 being desirable.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and achievement.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
