Manufacturing Operative

Earls Colne, Essex
13.50 per hour
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Temp to Perm

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative to join a well-established precast concrete manufacturer based in Earls Colne. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a growing business that offers training, development and a permanent opportunity.

Please note: This is a very physically demanding role involving manual handling, working with wet concrete and being on your feet throughout the day. Applicants must be comfortable with heavy, hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.

Duties will include:

• Levelling and finishing freshly poured concrete to a high standard
• Using vibrating poker equipment to remove air pockets and ensure an even concrete finish
• Shovelling, floating and trowelling concrete to create smooth, consistent surfaces
• Assisting with the preparation of precast concrete moulds
• Supporting the crane operative with positioning reinforcement cages into moulds
• Carrying out quality checks before products are cast
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout the shift
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Working as part of the production team to meet daily manufacturing targets

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within manufacturing, production, construction or another physically demanding environment
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• The ability to work in a physically demanding role
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude towards teamwork
