Job Description

We are recruiting a Packaging Technician to join our clients packaging team within a manufacturing environment. You will work in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to ensure products are packed safely, accurately, and to the required quality standards and output targets.

Location: Worthing, East Sussex

Salary: 14.48 per hour paying up yo 16.09 per hour

Shift: Rotating Shift Pattern (Week 1 Early shift 07:00-14:30 - Week 2 - Late shift 14:15 - 22:00)

Key Responsibilities of a Packaging Technician:

• Operate as part of the packaging team, following relevant SOPs for the line/area
• Carry out packaging activities in line with GMP standards
• Deliver planned output while maintaining high quality standards
• Ensure products are produced to the required specification and within agreed time frames
• Follow all site safety requirements at all times
• Wear the correct PPE as required
• Keep training records up to date
• Maintain work areas to 5S standards (clean, organised, safe working environment)
• Adhere strictly to timekeeping (start/end of shift and breaks)

Requirements for the ideal Packaging Technician:

• Previous experience in a packaging/manufacturing/production environment is desirable (training may be provided)
• Ability to follow procedures and work to quality and safety standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) is preferable

All roles are recruited on a temporary basis with the maximum tenure of 2 years.
