Architectural Assistant

Southampton

£16.62 per hour

We are recruiting for an Architectural Assistant to join a busy in-house Design Services team within a local authority in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has completed a Degree in Architecture (RIBA Part 1) and is working towards RIBA Part 2, looking to gain valuable experience across a diverse portfolio of public sector projects. Working alongside qualified architects and a multi-disciplinary design team, you will contribute to projects from concept through to completion, supporting the delivery of high-quality architectural services across a range of Council clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of professional architectural services across a variety of projects and RIBA work stages.
• Produce drawings, specifications, contract documentation, reports, schedules and presentation materials.
• Prepare CAD drawings, BIM models and 3D visualisations where required.
• Contribute to design development for projects ranging from small refurbishments to major developments.
• Assist with site analysis, design coordination and project documentation.
• Support compliance with CDM 2015, Building Regulations, Health & Safety and Council procedures.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, Building Control and Planning teams.
• Manage your workload effectively, maintaining project records, timesheets and filing systems.
