Year 1 Primary Teacher - Leighton Buzzard

Academics is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Leighton Buzzard to recruit a talented Year 1 Primary Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their career in a supportive school with a strong community ethos.

Position: Year 1 Primary Teacher

Location: Leighton Buzzard

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full-Time Long-Term with the potential to become permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

As the Year 1 class teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, creating an inclusive classroom environment, and supporting pupils as they continue their transition through Key Stage 1.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum
• A proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons
• High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A positive, flexible, and collaborative approach to teaching
• A genuine passion for helping every child reach their full potential
