Are you looking for a fulfilling, full-time career move to kick start this September?

About the Role

This is a full-time position commencing this September, perfectly tailored for an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics specialist. The academy is profoundly dedicated to providing an exceptional education for every young person, driven by a culture of high aspirations, exemplary behaviour standards, and an inclusive, encouraging learning environment. Faculty members benefit from the trust's premier, centralised professional development frameworks, a robust behavioural system that empowers teachers to focus entirely on instructional excellence, and a community-focused ethos that takes pride in shared success.

  • Curriculum Expertise: Up-to-date insight into current educational frameworks and core GCSE examination specifications (e.g., Pearson Edexcel / AQA).
  • Right to Work: Valid legal authorisation to work full-time within the United Kingdom.
Key Skills
  • Advanced Subject Literacy: Extensive mastery of the UK National Curriculum for Mathematics, spanning algebra, geometry, ratio, and statistics.
  • Proactive Behaviour Management: Ability to utilise positive reinforcement techniques to sustain an orderly, focused, and productive classroom environment.
  • Adaptive Teaching: Skill in modifying lesson delivery to support diverse learning requirements, stretching high-attainers while scaffolding for SEND and EAL pupils.
  • Progress Tracking: Proficiency in reviewing student data to pinpoint specific mathematical misconceptions and introduce effective interventions.
  • Formative Feedback: Expertise in using live marking, targeted questioning, and verbal feedback to accelerate pupil development.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Superb verbal and written communication skills to break down abstract concepts and effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, structure, and deliver high-calibre, stimulating Mathematics lessons that stretch and support all learners.
  • Evaluate, document, and report on the academic growth, attainment, and effort of assigned pupils.
  • Establish elevated benchmarks for student behaviour, preserving a purposeful and safe classroom dynamic.
  • Partner with colleagues to refine and develop departmental schemes of learning and shared mastery resources.
  • Actively engage in parent's consultation evenings, departmental briefings, and whole-school training sessions.
  • Serve as a Form Tutor, delivering compassionate pastoral care and supporting the holistic well-being of students.
  • Recognise students who are falling behind and implement swift interventions to maximise GCSE outcomes.
  • Consistently champion all academy and Trust-wide policies, particularly regarding safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Provide regular, constructive marking in perfect alignment with the school's assessment policy.
  • Commit to continuous reflective practice and professional development to continuously sharpen pedagogical skills.
What We Offer:
  • A welcoming, collaborative working environment within a dedicated STEM faculty.
  • Excellent avenues for career advancement and continuous professional learning via the Academy Trust.
  • The rewarding opportunity to shape the future pathways of local young people.
  • Highly competitive daily pay rates and an efficient payroll system.
