This Repairs Planner position offers the opportunity to join a busy Property Services team on a rolling contract, providing consistent and stable work.
You'll be responsible for planning and coordinating responsive repairs, ensuring operatives are scheduled efficiently while delivering an excellent customer experience. Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and residents, you'll help ensure repairs are completed on time, resources are utilised effectively, and service standards are consistently achieved.
We'd love to hear from anyone with a background as a Repairs Planner, Planner, Scheduler, Resource Planner, Works Coordinator, Maintenance Planner, Service Coordinator, or anyone with experience within social housing, property maintenance, repairs, customer service, or scheduling.
As a Repairs Planner, you will be:
Scheduling responsive repairs and maintenance appointments for operatives and contractors
Managing engineers' diaries to maximise productivity and minimise travel time
Liaising with customers to arrange, confirm, and amend repair appointments
Monitoring outstanding repairs and ensuring work is completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
Responding to emergency repairs and adjusting schedules to meet changing priorities
Updating internal systems with accurate job and appointment information
Working closely with Property Services teams to ensure an efficient and customer-focused repairs serviceI'd love to speak to anyone who has:
Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, or repairs coordination role
Experience within social housing, property services, repairs, maintenance, or a similar customer-focused environment
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with customers, operatives, and contractors
Good IT skills and experience using scheduling or housing management systemsKey requirements for this Repairs Planner role:
Previous experience within a planning or scheduling position
Experience coordinating repairs or maintenance work is highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentThe role is offering the following benefits:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Travel & LocationThis role is based in Birmingham, with excellent transport links across the city via the M5, M6, M42 and A38, alongside regular rail and bus services, making it easily accessible from across the West Midlands.
