This People Advisor role in Liverpool involves supporting the Human Resources department to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You'll provide expert advice and guidance on HR matters, helping the organisation meet its people-related goals effectively.

A not-for-profit organisation based in Liverpool, focused on serving its community through its impactful work.

Description

Support the delivery of a positive, consistent, and inclusive employee experience throughout organisational change programmes.

Provide guidance on employee relations matters arising from change activity, including restructures, redundancy processes, and redeployment opportunities.

Contribute to fair, transparent, and legally compliant people change processes.

Support managers and stakeholders through coaching and advice to build capability and confidence in managing change effectively.

Assist in the planning and delivery of organisational change activity, including consultation processes, project timelines, and implementation plans.

Prepare and distribute change-related documentation and coordinate meetings with relevant stakeholders.

Deliver defined workstreams within change programmes, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

Support consultation meetings, stakeholder briefings, and the design and delivery of training to equip managers to lead change successfully.

Collaborate across teams to facilitate smooth onboarding, offboarding, and redeployment activities.

Monitor, analyse, and report on key people metrics, such as employee turnover, engagement, absence levels, and redeployment outcomes.

Support the identification of emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, providing insights to inform decision-making throughout change programmes.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across People, Operations, and business functions to provide coordinated support during periods of change.

Support the development and delivery of clear, consistent, and timely communications.

Act as a first point of contact for employee and manager queries arising from change activity, ensuring advice is accurate, practical, and consistent.

Promote employee wellbeing, engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout organisational change initiatives.

Provide pragmatic, solutions-focused support on employee relations and change-related matters.

Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating concerns where appropriate and recommending solutions.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of change frameworks, processes, policies, and tools.

Exercise sound judgement in managing routine matters and escalating complex or high-risk issues as required.

Ensure all activities comply with employment legislation, organisational policies, and data protection requirements.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all change-related documentation.

Champion a safe, inclusive, and compliant working environment throughout all stages of the change process.

Profile

Demonstrable knowledge of employment legislation and statutory requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical workplace context.

Experience working within a busy People, Human Resources, or Employee Relations environment.

Experience supporting and advising on organisational change initiatives, including employee consultation and transition activities.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to deliver training, briefings, and induction sessions to a range of audiences.

Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, employee representatives, and other stakeholders.

Strong IT and digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.

Experience of supporting projects, either through project management responsibilities or through project coordination and administration.

A recognised professional qualification in Human Resources, People Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.

Commitment to continuing professional development, with evidence of maintaining and enhancing professional knowledge and skills.

Job Offer

£36,691.17 Salary on offer

6-month Fixed-term contract with the opportunity to work within a not-for-profit organisation.
