This is an incredibly rewarding role where you will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their health, wellbeing and safety needs are met. Working closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals and partner agencies, you will play a key role in creating supportive and thriving communities within our sheltered housing schemes.

  • Conduct inspections of tenanted and void properties and report repairs or tenancy breaches.
  • Respond to emergency alarm activations and coordinate appropriate assistance.
  • Support residents during illness, emergencies and difficult life events.
  • Complete support plans, reviews, risk assessments and emergency evacuation plans.
  • Promote health and safety compliance, including fire safety procedures.
  • Encourage resident engagement through social activities and community events.
  • Build effective partnerships with health professionals, social care teams, emergency services and community organisations.
  • Maintain the security and smooth operation of sheltered housing schemes.
  • Ensure communal areas remain clean, safe and welcoming.

About You

We're looking for someone who is resilient and committed to delivering excellent customer service.

You will have:

Essential Experience

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults, older people or individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience using computerised systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Confidence in responding calmly and effectively during emergencies.

Personal Qualities
