Job Description

Fawkes & Reece (West) are working with one of our Tier 1 construction clients to recruit an experienced Temporary Construction Site Supervisor for an exciting project in Central Glasgow.

This is a 3-week contract starting Monday 27th July, working on a large-scale RC Frame student accommodation development comprising 591 student rooms.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 07:30 - 18:00

Rate

• 230- 240 per day (dependent on experience)

• Supervising day-to-day site operations and ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Managing subcontractors, trades, and direct labour on site.
• Monitoring progress against the construction programme and reporting to site management.
• Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Conducting daily site inspections and maintaining high health and safety standards.
• Delivering site inductions and toolbox talks where required.
• Coordinating deliveries and site logistics.
• Identifying and resolving on-site issues to minimise delays.
• Maintaining accurate site records, including daily diaries and progress reports.
• Liaising with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Previous experience as a Construction Site Supervisor on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience working on RC Frame projects is highly desirable.
• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and maintain high safety standards.
