**Volunteer Coordinator/Advisor
Full time - Part time considered (22.5 hours minimum, flexible over 5 days)
Based in Esher**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer Coordinator to join a not-for-profit organisation based in Esher. The Volunteer Coordinator / Advisor will act as a point of. You will support the development of volunteers by providing advice and guidance, as well as leading on specific volunteer development projects.

• *Key Responsibilities**.
• To act as a point of.
• To provide advice and guidance to staff and volunteers.
• To work with the Head of Volunteering to develop and roll out the Volunteering Strategy.
• To lead on Volunteer Celebration and recognition events.
• Working with managers ensure that volunteer, role and environmental risk assessments are completed where necessary and support staff to complete these risk assessments with volunteers.
• Carry out the biannual Volunteer Surveys for volunteers and staff.
• To support the Head of Volunteering with Volunteer Forums and Volunteer Management Forums.
• Coordinate the monthly Volunteer Newsletter.
• To lead on the established Support Volunteer Programme, aimed at sixth form students. This will include recruiting, training and evaluation of the project.
• Support the Head of Volunteering to identify new areas for volunteering and new potential partnerships.
• *Person Specification**.
• IT Savvy including experience with office productivity software Packages.
• Experience of supporting and supervising volunteers.
• Experience of working in the not-for-profit sector.
• Effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills, both on the telephone and in person.
• Confident to present to groups.
• Ability to deal with a diverse range of people.
• Organised with good attention to detail.
• Able to create good quality written material.
• Experience of working effectively in teams.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and procedures.
• Ability to develop and deliver training both face to face and online.
• Problem solving skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Understanding of the importance of safeguarding, particularly in relation to volunteering.
• Calm, friendly and helpful manner.
• Passion and enthusiasm for volunteering.
