THE TEAM

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

As a business intelligence software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards, optimising database-query languages queries, and preparing data for reporting. This role bridges business intelligence development and light data engineering, ideal for someone passionate about both data preparation and visualisation without requiring full-scale data engineering responsibilities.

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED

✔ Designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports in business intelligence software

✔ Writing, testing, and optimising database-query languages queries to extract, transform, and prepare data

✔ Managing data models in business intelligence software, including DAX calculations and measures

✔ Ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all reports and dashboards

✔ Working with IT and data teams to connect to various data sources (databases, APIs, files)

✔ Supporting performance tuning of dashboards and queries for optimal efficiency

✔ Providing documentation and user training for reporting tools and dashboards

WHAT IT TAKES

🔹 Understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts

🔹 Familiarity with DAX and Power Query (M language)

📜 Knowledge of cloud data platforms (a major public-cloud platform, a major public-cloud platform, or similar)

📜 Exposure to scripting languages (general-purpose programming languages, Power Shell)

📜 Basic understanding of data governance and security practices
