Trade Waste Business Support Officer

• Salary: £30,287 to £33,268 per annum (pro rata)
• Location: Waterbeach/Cambourne
• Job Type: Part-time (2.5 days/week), Office-based with occasional hybrid working
• Contract: Rolling monthly, with potential to extend

REED Business Support are representing our client who are seeking a dedicated Trade Waste Business Support Officer to join their team ASAP. This role is crucial in supporting our waste and environment services through meticulous data and account analysis, ensuring operational efficiency and innovation in our processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Produce and manage reports, correspondence, presentations, and other documentation with accuracy.
• Maintain precise records using the organisation's admin/finance/management systems.
• Facilitate project management processes and support operational and administrative functions.
• Provide advice, guidance, and information to a diverse range of audiences through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Occasionally travel to off-site destinations to support events and conferences and support officers at evening meetings as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A good level of general education, including GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths (grade C or above).
• NVQ level 3 in Business Administration, Customer Services, or a related field.
• Proficient keyboard and mouse skills for various tasks.
• Experience with Tascomi Software and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Understanding of South Cambridgeshire District Council's structure and the inter-linkages within Corporate Areas.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in office practices and procedures, including financial, administrative, and operational aspects.
• Knowledge and understanding of food safety and health and safety regulations.
